im writing quite a long story at the moment, and ive reached a point where the main male character (a soldier) has refound the main female charcter (the current narrator), and now i want to encoporate the soldiers interpretation of war. i dont really want to change narrator in the story, because i like when stories stick to one narrator as you feel you know them best. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas as to how i could give the soldiers view of what hes been through..battles and things. I was thiking along the lines of a diary, letters to the female character which she finds, or something like that..but i don't want it to fail horribly and be rubbish, as i'm quite enjoying writing the story as it is.

any ideas?
